Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The first step toward salvation is to realizing before God that you are a sinner.
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus Christ conquered sin and death on the cross to bring salvation to each person.
Romans 6:23 states that "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." We all face physical death, which is a result of sin in the world. Those who die without salvation also face spiritual death which alienates them from God and will last for all eternity. Salvation and eternal life with God in Heaven are free gifts which can not be earned by good works. You must reach out to God in prayer with your heart and mind and soul to receive this gift and have a personal relationship God through Christ Jesus.
Romans 10:9-10 assures you "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." In order to have a personal relationship with God, you must call on the name of Jesus, repent for your sins, and receive Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Believe in your heart that Christ raised from the dead, and pray for forgiveness of your sins in the name of Jesus. If you truly believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior and confess Him as your Lord, you will be saved, and you will receive the Holy Spirit and God’s gift of eternal life in Heaven. You will be free to join a local church for Christian fellowship, worship and study and be bapized by water to fullfill righteousness in your life and make pubic your faith in Jesus Christ.
